Bio
After attending the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill studying English, Molly moved to Atlanta in 1988 and worked for 15 years at an Engineering Firm digitizing telephone records. An industry downsizing in 2003 led to her relocation to Cartersville. After 15 years living in the city, Molly’s move to the suburbs was a shock to say the least. What she found, however, was a town with wonderful people and a small town feeling that she could really call home. Molly found a church family and a job at the American Red Cross. In her six years at the Red Cross, Molly worked in disaster services and taught CPR and First Aid Classes. In 2010, she went to work for Just Kids Child Care. While Molly had enjoyed all the jobs she’d had in her life, she felt like she had finally found her calling. Just Kids Child Center closed in 2012 and Molly was blessed to be hired at the Rollins Child Development Center soon after. Molly has found wonderful role models at Rollins from whom she learns everyday. She has also formed relationships with the children at Rollins Child Development Center that enrich her life daily.
When encountering challenges throughout the day, Molly reminds herself that the process is as important as the product. Each planned and unplanned experience with a child is part of the foundation upon which they will build a successful education.
