Bio

Melanie was born in Ontario, Canada.  When she was ten years old, her family moved to Cartersville, Georgia for her dad’s job.  After graduating from Cartersville High School, Melanie attended Agnes Scott College for a year before transferring to Kennesaw State University.  While attending KSU, she proudly obtained her American Citizenship.  She graduated with a Bachelor of Science degree in Psychology in 2011. Melanie has been working with children since she was 14.  She started by babysitting the neighborhood children, then worked as a nanny after high school, and then worked for many years at a child development center.  Recently Melanie has worked in the medical field, but came back to child care feeling like it is her purpose to help nurture and educate children.  Melanie feels privileged and excited to be a part of Rollins Child Development Center. Melanie and her husband currently live in Cartersville with their dog and two cats.  When Melanie isn’t working, she enjoys hiking with her husband, playing with her dog Charlee, and working on many arts and crafts projects.
